JIM GUIRARDJim Guirard is a Washington, D.C. attorney, government affairs consultant and freelance writer and lecturer. A native of South Louisiana and a longtime resident of Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Guirard served for many years as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senators Allen Ellender and Russell Long of Louisiana. Subsequently, he served as national Affairs Director of the American Security Council Foundation, as a Board Member of the Committee to Free Afghanistan and as a leading member of the Coalition for Peace Through Strength’s 1980s Task Force on Nicaragua. He currently serves on the Board of the Democratic Russia-USA Foundation, the Board of Accuracy in Academia, is a civilian consultant to the U.S. Army Science Board and writes extensively on geo-political affairs -- with a focus on the language of politics. |
